A painter in backlight

A quiet and peaceful little square in Venice

The little square where I took this picture is well known especially by my German customers, as it’s the place where the series of Commissario Brunetti was acted.

The Commissario Brunetti is a tv serie from the books of Donna Leon, who translated them in a lot of languages, but never in Italian, in order to remain anonymous in Venice, where most part of her books are set.

Actually, it’s not an easy place to photograph, because of the pillars and the light which is often a back-light. In this case, I found this painter right in the middle, and I played with the shadows, keeping a space between two pillars on the right, in order to get one person walking on the bridge.
