Holy Procession in Venice

We don’t know the name of the photograph who took this picture in the ‘50s, probably during an Easter Procession, or may be in May. When I fond this picture a sentence of Cartier-Bresson came into my mind:

“Memory is very important, the memory of each photo taken, flowing at the same speed as the event. During the work, you have to be sure that you haven’t left any holes, that you’ve captured everything, because afterwards it will be too late.”

Fortunately somebody took this picture that shows us Venice as it was, when still more than 170.000 persons lived in the city.
